In the beginning, God created business class!

my trip got off to a slow start as our flight out of Columbus was delayed by an hour thus making it impossible to reach our connection. It sucked having to wait another 24 hours as I was already anxious but on the bright side, they upgraded our tickets to business class. For those of you who have never flown in anything greater than coach, you have no idea what you are missing! The seats reclined back to a full bed, we had fresh fruits and imported cheeses for dessert, delicious entrees, all the wine you could drink, your own personal television with movies, tv, and games on demand.

Before we could leave the airplane, we were required to wear masks through customs and a health check. There is a fear in the city that a swine flu outbreak may occur so they are inspecting all people immigrating to the city before entering. Here is a picture of me, Raul, and Julia in our stylish masks. We left the airport and headed to Nancy's parents house for lunch and to retrieve the money for my apartment.

I will post this soon but for now I leave you with one of my first views of Buenos Aires. Ciao!

Intro

Hola Como estas mis amigos. My name is Greg Petersen and I am a graduate student in the department of physics and astronomy at Ohio University in Athens Ohio. My research is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation that is geared toward fostering communication and understanding between scientists from Argentina and the U.S. With this in mind, I have decided to keep a blog through the 2 and a half months I will be staying in Argentina for my friends, family and colleagues. I hope you enjoy the pictures and stories I have to share.
